A: 90 – 100
B: 80 – 89
C: 70 – 79
D: 60 – 69
F: 59 and below

These are low-risk assignments that allow students to practice new learning. They may be graded as completed or checked for accuracy.

Counts for 20% of Student Grade

Late work will be accepted for a grade until 2 days after the due date.  A late penalty of 15 points will be deducted for each day late up to 30 points. 

 On the 3rd day, the student will be given a “0%” for the assignment.

Rehearse

Quizzes, Labs, Classwork, Mini-Assessments/Projects, iReady Teacher Assigned Lessons

Assignments that provide feedback on progress towards mastery of the standard(s) being taught.

Counts for 45% of Student Grade

Formal 

Unit Tests, Common Assessments, Performance Tasks, Writing Assignments, and Projects with Rubrics. 

Culminating/formative assessments that measure mastery of one or multiple standards.

Counts for 35% of Student Grades.

iReady Diagnostic and NC Check-Ins will be recorded in PowerSchool; however, they will not count toward the student’s final grade.  These will be used to suggest possible interventions for students not showing mastery of the standards assessed.

Students will participate in new learning opportunities in small group interventions, Edmentum, and additional assignments before being reassessed on a parallel assessment to show mastery within three weeks.

 

Students may earn a maximum of 77 on their re-test after completing the additional learning opportunities.

 

Students must complete the retest within the 3-week timeframe.
