At Andrews Middle School, our English Language Arts curriculum for grades 6 through 8 is built around Wit & Wisdom. This rich, rigorous program brings literature, informational texts, and writing to life. Rather than isolated skills drills, students dive deep into carefully selected texts that spark curiosity, build knowledge, and promote thoughtful discussion. From classic literature to contemporary nonfiction, Wit & Wisdom invites students to engage with big ideas and essential questions, helping them grow as readers and writers, critical thinkers, and compassionate citizens. Across middle school, students explore diverse voices and perspectives, develop strong writing habits, and learn to communicate clearly and confidently.
